One of Decanter's 'Most Exciting Wines of 2018' - deep and rich Xinomavro
This was the first un oaked version of Xinomavro to hit the market in 2010 after several years of experimenting. Apostolos is the first winemaker that has tamed the tannins of this difficult grape variety , making a wine that is for drinking now rather than laying down - it has been compared to a characterful Pinot Noir
Tasting Note: Splendid, purple red colour, very clear. Complex bouquet of red small fruits, cherry, blackberry, plum. Full mouth, rounded tannins, balanced acidity. Long and lingering pleasure.
Critics: Jancis Robinson 16.5/20, Decanter 93/100 and one of 50 'Most Exciting Wines of 2018', Tom Cannavan 91/100 "a lovely medium-bodied wine that is agile and light, and very moreish."
