Cracking example of the Duoro's ability to produce excellent red wine, as well as luscious Ports
Quinta do Crasto is a widely admired wine farm (quinta) on the north bank of the Douro just south of the town of Pinhão that has been extensively renovated by the Roquette family. Tradionally the Douro has specialised in Port, but increasingly fine red table wine is being produced.
Tasting Note: Brilliant colour, red fruit and floral on the nose, with a hint of raisins and muscovado sugar. Mouthwatering and vibrant wine; a great advert for Douro reds.
