Karas has more than 400 hectares of vineyards. Eduardo Eurnekian’s Armavir Vineyard is intertwining the expertise of being an old world wine leader with the latest technology and is leading the way with a unique vision, massive investment, and innovation.
The vineyards are located at an average altitude of 1100 metres above sea level in the west of the Armavir region.
The soil characteristics are mainly volcanic and the rich loam also contains a stony texture ideally suited for the production of highly concentrated wines . Both international and indigenous varietals are planted in the vineyards which are cultivated with modern techniques together with an individual approach for each varietal, aiming to develop the potential of each. Gabriel Rogel from Argentina is the chief winemaker with Michel Rolland from France consultant winemaker.
Tasting Notes: This blend of Chenin Blanc and Kangun is a very interesting one. The wine has a straw yellow color in the glass. The scent is very special, refreshing with hints of apple, honey, melon and subtle notes of peach. In the mouth intense with balanced acids and exotic fruit, citrus in the medium aftertaste.
