Beautifully crafted high altitude, organic Agiorgitiko from a top Greek Estate
In 1998, Elia Bizios founded his winery following in the footsteps of his father off whom he learn't the craft of both making wine and running the business. The village of Asprokampos, high in the mountains above the Nemea plain has long been recognised as the best terroir for Agiorgitiko and Elias Bizios has some of the best vineyards in the village. At an altitude of up to 950m Elias' 10 hectares of organically farmed, old vines are harvested by hand by Elias and produce pristine, ripe fruit that are transformed into powerful but fresh, vibrant wine.
Tasting Note: Ruby Colour, with aromas of smoke, vanilla & wood. Notes of stewed cherries & strawberries. Full bodied with soft tannins that end in a long finish.
