Savoury Cru Bourgeois with a bit of age, ideal for that special occassion
Château Peyrabon is a classic Cru Bourgeois wine producer on the Left Bank of Bordeaux. Unusually, it has vineyards both in the Haut-Médoc and Pauillac. The wines are made from Cabernet Sauvignon supported by Merlot, Petit Verdot and Cabernet Franc.
Tasting Note: An expressive nose with smokey notes, ivy leaves and oriental spices. The attack has a nice freshness, and the wine builds slowly. The midpalate is fine and delicate, and the tannins offer a pleasing astringency on the medium-length finish.
