Very fine blanc de noirs Champagne Method sparkling

Domaine Karanika produce the finest quality sparkling and still wines in total harmony with nature without any concession to the health of people and the earth. Their organic/ biodynamic vineyards at the Amyndeo plateau in the far North-west of Greece include old to very old ungrafted Xinomavro vines, the younger Assyrtiko and the almost forgotten Limniona. The wines range from the sparkling Karanika Cuvee Speciale and Prestige, our aged red Xinomavro/Limniona blends to our razor-sharp white Assyrtiko. Cuvee Speciale is the flagship. Made from 100% Xinomavro ungrafted vines. A sparkling blanc de noirs with the traditional method. Unfiltered. Razor sharp and very aromatic. Expressive nose of citrus, stone fruits and herbs. Everlasting bubbles. Aged for at least 12 months on the lie. Riddled and disgorged by hand.

Tasting Note: Rich yeasty and fruity nose, aromas of strawberry, framboises. Mouthfilling creamy mouse with everlasting tiny bubbles in perfect contrast with its refreshing acidity. Balanced. Considerable length. Cold climate type of sparkling wine.
