Consistently producing some of the top wines in Spain's Ribera del Duero, a truly world class Tempranillo.
Juan Luis Cañas and Juan José Iribecampos were great friends before joining forces to take on the challenge of producing top wine from Ribera del Duero together - so much so that the name Cair is an amalgamation of the first two letters of their respective surnames. Based in Ribera del Duero, Cair embraces the innovative viticultural and winemaking techniques found in its sister wineries.
Tasting Note: Black cherry with good depth of colour. An intense nose of fine wood, leather, cigar box, dark chocolate & fruit combine with sweet tannins to produce a beautifully balanced, elegant red wine. Full and powerful on the attack with good balance. A meaty, juicy mouth feel with sweet tannins. Long, lingering finish.
Critics: Jancis Robinson 17/20 (2009), In a blind tasting of all 2008 vintages from Ribera del Duero, Cair came out on top beating some of the most revered wines from the region!
