Elegant red blend from Eger's volcanic soils, fruit driven with mineral finish. Bull's Blood of Eger
Tibor Gal Junior's aim is to produce terroir-focused wines, continuing his father's legacy while taking an organic winemaking approach.
Gal Tibor grows fruit on the first class vineyards of Eger, on 37 hectares. The soil in Eger is unparalelled and extremely versatile. Eger is the home of a beautiful relief, vineyards and fields characterized by unique microclimate. This is accompanied by exciting seasons which bring cold, wet winters, sunny but treacherous springs and hot summers. Eger is capable of creating beautiful, full-bodied white wines as well as the most elegant red ones.
Tasting Note: An easy-going, elegant and zesty Eger Bikavér, a blend of Kékfrankos, Kadarka, Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Pinot Noir, harvested from volcanic rhyolite tuff. It is elegant with lots of red fruit flavours and a mineral finish.
Critics: "I loved the peppery strawberry and cherry fruitiness..." David Williams, Guardian
