A Croation red from the Plavac Mali grape, with ripe autumnal fruit and a lovely tannic feel, integrated and savoury
Plavac Mali is a Croatian speciality making dense and robust reds with black cherry flavors and notes of pepper, smoke and spice - Zinfandel is a parent.
Stina project, as one of the most comprehensive wine projects in Croatia, began in 2009 when Jako Andabak, leased a cellar from the Agricultural Cooperative of Bol. The vineyards are planted on the dramatically steep slopes of the Island of Brac and cover around 120 acres. They produce the ingenious Plavac Mali wine and Opol Rose.
Tasting Note: Soft and rounded with ripe sour cherry and dried plum notes with very discreet hints of vanilla and Mediterranean herbs.
