Les Caves des Vins de Rabelais, Tête de Linotte, Chinon, Loire, France 2020

Regular price £14.49

Deliciously scented soft Loire red, easy and moreish

The Cave des Vins de Rabelais was founded in 1989, driven by the Chinon winemakers who wanted to join forces and create a new Cooperative, broadening the appeal of the biggest red appellation in the Loire Valley.

Chinon comes from the Touraine district of the Loire, made with the Cabernet Franc grape. The region’s most famous son, the early-16th-century writer Rabelais, promoted the wines of Chinon. The Loire's proximity to Paris has meant, historically, it was seen more in Paris than Bordeaux wines.

Chinon is quintessentially a wine of refreshment, being light to medium bodied, often divinely scented.

Tasting Note: Dark plum, with dark fruit and pencil shaving aromas, Balanced dark fruits and silky tannins on the palate. Easy to love.

Cabernet Franc (100%)
