Polished, oak aged Agiorgitiko from 20+ year old vines
The Domaine Skouras was established in 1986. Over the years, it has created a disciplined, innovative and serious wine-producing presence. The company owns two wineries in the Peloponnese, in the well-known region of Nemea. Owner George Skouras studied wine making in Dijon, before returning and dedicating himself to exploring the potential of the famed Agiorgitiko grape.
Grown in the Nemea region at 650 m, on clay soils, from vines on average 29 years old
Tasting Note: The color is bright, deep crimson. The nose reveals aromas of blackberries, black raspberries and ripe strawberries with just a touch of anise and spices such as clove and cinnamon. It is a medium bodied wine with graceful texture, balanced acidity and very ripe elegant tannins. The finish is moderately long, full of red fruits with a touch of sweet vanilla and black pepper.
