The Atma White is a blend of 80% Blanc de Noir Xinomavro (making white wine from red grapes) with 20% Malagousia.
Apostolos Thymiopoulos, the current head of operations at the family winery, uses grapes from his very young vines that are not ready to go into his Jeunes Vignes Red wine (where he uses grapes from vines that are 5-15 years in age). The Atma white uses grapes from vines that are 3-5 years in age, making a blanc de noir - the wine is dry crisp and floral with really nice acidity , the Malagousia just adds a touch of stone fruit to the mix.
Tasting Note: Brilliant pale gold, greenish hints. Lively nose, floral, hints of spice, melon, lichee and honeysuckle. Rich in the mouth, silky and mouthwatering. Long.
